Study Starlings
I can't help being fascinated by Starlings and their interactions. They don't seem to like to share food, but they most usually come to my feeders in large groups.
This time of year there are a lot of young ones, although they are now feeding themselves and not relying on parents for food. They get through so much food, they cost me a small fortune!
So, here are my studies today of my garden starlings.
Searching on the ground
Sharing a drink
Resting and watching
Keeping a watchful eye
Glossy in the sun (the only adult)
Eating the fat
The starlings really do clear out the bird feeder in record time!
